Regional Sales Manager — Northeast Region

Location: Remote / home-office, Northeast corridor (New York / Newark or Philadelphia metro preferred) · ~75% road time within home state/region

We go to market the way the lighting industry works: through authorized lighting distributors and lighting showrooms, with demand driven by independent lighting rep agencies and won at the specification level with engineers, designers, and contractors. The Opportunity

We're standing up a dedicated Northeast & Mid-Atlantic Region — the Atlantic corridor running from New England down through Virginia. This is a newly created seat with full ownership of the region's revenue, rep agency network, and distributor and specifier relationships, on par with our West, South, and Midwest regional heads and reporting directly to the CEO.

This is a build. You'll start from an established base in one of the country's richest lighting markets — dense commercial construction, a deep specification community, and the strongest concentration of premium utility rebate programs anywhere in the U.S. The runway is wide open for a lighting professional who knows this corridor and wants to own and grow a region from the ground up.

Territory: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (eastern), Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., Virginia, West Virginia region

What You'll Do

Own the Northeast Region revenue number and the lighting sales strategy to build it.
Manage, coach, and develop the independent lighting rep agency network across the corridor — and stand up new coverage in underdeveloped pockets.
Win at the spec level: partner with the region's dense community of lighting designers, electrical engineers, architects, and ESCOs to get Westgate written into projects.
Drive pull-through demand through lighting distributors and showrooms.
Turn the corridor's premium utility rebate programs (Mass Save, NJ Clean Energy, NYSERDA, and similar) and strict energy codes (ASHRAE 90.1) into fast-closing ROI conversations.
Convert competitive business with head-to-head spec comparisons on efficacy, DLC tier, and rebate eligibility.
Lead distributor trainings, lunch-and-learns, and new product rollouts.
Forecast, report, and manage the region's pipeline and project funnel with discipline.

What You Bring

7+ years in lighting sales — manufacturer, rep agency, or distributor side — with multi-state territory ownership.
Proven success managing or working through independent lighting rep agencies in a channel model.
Strong relationships with lighting distributors, showrooms, and the specification community across the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic — or a demonstrated ability to build them fast.
Working fluency in LED fixture performance: efficacy (lm/W), photometrics, DLC and DLC Premium listings, utility rebate programs, and energy codes (ASHRAE 90.1, IES standards).
Experience selling commercial and industrial fixtures into real projects and specifications.
A builder's track record — growing a territory or standing one up, not just maintaining an existing book.
Decorative or showroom lighting channel experience is a strong plus; lighting controls familiarity is a bonus.
Comfortable spending roughly 75% of your time on the road within your home state and surrounding region.
