Job Title: Community & Specialty Clinical Pharmacist

HealthSource Pharmacy is a premier, independent clinical pharmacy located in Manhattan. We provide a sophisticated alternative to "big box" retail by combining traditional community pharmacy with high-touch Specialty Pharmacy services. We are dedicated to clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and maintaining a professional environment where pharmacists can practice at the top of their license.

The Role

We are expanding our team and seeking three dedicated Pharmacists (1 Full-Time, 2 Part-Time) to join us. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy the pace of a New York City community pharmacy but want the professional challenge of managing specialty medications and personalized patient therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

Specialty Medication Management: Oversee clinical intake, prior authorizations, and therapy adherence for specialty disease states (e.g., Oncology, HIV, Rheumatology, Fertility).
Software Operations: Expertise in PrimeRx (Micro Merchant Systems) is REQUIRED. Navigate the system for complex billing, specialty reporting, and daily workflow.
Non-Sterile Compounding: Prepare and oversee customized non-sterile formulations. Willing to train candidates on specific compounding protocols.
Immunization Services: Administer a comprehensive range of vaccines in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations.
Clinical Counseling: Provide expert consultations for standard medications, complex specialty biologics, and compounded formulations.
Provider Liaison: Communicate directly with NYC clinics to coordinate care and resolve clinical or insurance barriers.

Position Details & Compensation Feature Full-Time (1 Opening)Part-Time (2 Openings) Schedule 35 – 40 hours / week2 – 3 days per week Hours Standard Business Hours Approx. 18 – 27 hours / week Compensation Full-Time; $120,000 – $166,400 / year Part-time; $60.00 – $75.00 / hour

Qualifications

Education: PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Active, unrestricted New York State Pharmacist License.
Technical Requirement: Direct, hands-on experience with PrimeRx / Micro Merchant Systems is MANDATORY.
Compounding Skills: Experience in non-sterile compounding is PREFERRED, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates high attention to detail.
Certification: NYS-certified to administer immunizations with active CPR/BLS.
Experience: 2+ years of community pharmacy experience preferred; specialty pharmacy experience is a major plus.
