Shift: Mon - Fri (9am - 6pm) w/rotating Sat (9am - 2pm)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and other specimens with precision and care, ensuring accurate laboratory testing and patient safety. Your expertise will support diagnostic processes, patient care, and overall clinical laboratory operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health through skilled specimen collection and compassionate service.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using proper aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity.
Collect, label, process, and transport specimens accurately according to laboratory procedures and protocols.
Prepare patients for blood draws by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Monitor patient vital signs when necessary and provide basic patient care during specimen collection.
Maintain strict adherence to laboratory techniques, safety standards, and infection control practices.
Document all procedures accurately in accordance with medical terminology and hospital policies.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized work environment, including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment as needed.

Experience

Prior experience in medical laboratory work or clinical laboratory settings is highly preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and venipuncture methods.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and blood sampling protocols to ensure safe and effective specimen collection.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.
Experience working in hospital or healthcare environments is advantageous.
Familiarity with medical terminology, specimen processing, and hospital safety standards is essential.
Proven ability to provide excellent patient service while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
