Full Job Description

Job description- OPERATIONS MANAGER

Shelter Hotel and Operations Salary: $45K-$48K yearly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assumes responsibility of facility or administrative functions under the delegated authority of the Director, for all shelter operations and administrative duties on assigned shift.
This position requires flexibility and a willingness to work beyond the standard 35-hour workweek, including occasional mandatory overtime, to support business needs and meet project deadlines.
Supervises the activities and staff on the assigned shift.
Monitors resident services.
Coordinate all fire safety and emergency planning requirements on the assigned shift.
Provides crisis counseling as needed.
Maintains all documentation and written reports as required by DHS, NYSDSS, and the assessment shelter
Interpersonal skills, working with teams, and computer skills are required.
Inputs and updates the DHS CARES system often.

Effect on End Results:

1. Provides management oversight in the absence of Shelter Director

2. Facilitates intake and incident reports

3. Assist with securing areas during high-volume intake

4. Provides extra managerial assistance during the nighttime shift to assist with bed count.

Minimum Requirements:

Two (2) years of supervisory experience dealing with homeless population, housing programs, employment training programs, substance abuse counseling, or residential programs serving an impoverished population.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, Public Administration or a related field

License/Certification:

First Aid Certification (Required)
CPR Certification (Required)
F-80 (Required)

CARES: 1 year (Required)

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
