Full Job Description

UN Acupuncture Center – Manhattan, NY
Job Type: Part-time / Per Diem / PRN
Work Location: In person
Schedule: Flexible, patient-driven scheduling
Expected Hours: Approximately 3–15 hours per week, variable/as needed

About Us

We are a premier integrative health and wellness practice in Manhattan dedicated to providing personalized, patient-centered care. Our multidisciplinary clinic combines acupuncture, chiropractic care, physical therapy, and therapeutic bodywork to support patients with pain management, musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, rehabilitation, and overall physical wellness.

We are currently seeking licensed healthcare professionals to join our clinical team on a flexible per-diem / PRN basis.

Positions Available

Chiropractor (DC)
Pay: $50–$60 per hour, or $40–$50 per patient adjustment/follow-up visit

Physical Therapist (DPT)
Pay: $55–$65 per hour

Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
Pay: $45–$60 per hands-on hour + 100% of patient tips

Candidates may apply for one or more of these positions based on their professional license, training, and experience.

How the Schedule Works

Our scheduling model is designed for clinicians who value flexibility.

Patient-driven scheduling: Hours are primarily based on scheduled patient appointments.
Flexible availability: We work with you to establish 3–4 hour availability blocks that fit your schedule.
PRN/per-diem flexibility: Ideal for clinicians looking to supplement an existing practice, maintain a flexible schedule, or build additional clinical hours.
Cancellation protection: We maintain a patient late-cancellation policy and provide base compensation when applicable for cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment.
Administrative support: Our front desk handles scheduling, billing, and administrative coordination so clinicians can focus on patient care.

Chiropractor – Responsibilities

Perform initial clinical evaluations, physical examinations, and chiropractic adjustments.
Utilize appropriate chiropractic techniques, soft-tissue therapies, and corrective exercise recommendations.
Develop individualized treatment approaches based on patient needs.
Maintain timely and compliant EMR documentation.
Collaborate with our acupuncture, physical therapy, and massage therapy professionals.

Requirements:

Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
Active New York State Chiropractor License.
Professional liability/malpractice insurance.
Strong communication and patient-care skills.
1–3+ years of outpatient clinical experience preferred; enthusiastic early-career practitioners are welcome.

Physical Therapist – Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, 1-on-1 physical therapy evaluations and treatment sessions.
Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on rehabilitation, pain management, and functional movement.
Maintain accurate and compliant EMR/EHR documentation.
Collaborate with our interdisciplinary clinical team.

Requirements:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
Active New York State Physical Therapist License.
Professional liability/malpractice insurance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
1–3+ years of outpatient experience preferred; enthusiastic early-career clinicians are welcome.

Licensed Massage Therapist – Responsibilities

Provide customized 60- or 90-minute therapeutic massage sessions.
Utilize appropriate techniques such as Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Release, or Trigger Point Therapy based on patient needs.
Maintain a clean, professional, and hygienic treatment environment.
Complete timely and accurate clinical notes in the EMR.
Communicate effectively with the front desk and interdisciplinary clinical team.

Requirements:

Active New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license.
Professional liability/malpractice insurance.
Strong hands-on technique and interpersonal skills.
1–3+ years of clinical or professional bodywork experience preferred; enthusiastic early-career LMTs are welcome.
