Full Job Description

Rotating Equipment Repair Inc., based in Sussex, WI, leads the power generation industry in aftermarket pump repair, replacement part manufacturing, and field installation and commissioning since 1982. Specializing in high pressure multi-stage boiler feed pumps, RER provides its customers with high quality engineering services, repairs and parts for centrifugal pumps through the utilization of highly skilled professionals, cutting edge technology, and proven work methodologies. RER has proudly been awarded Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Top Workplace for 9 years!

What you will doing as part of our team: Under the direction of the Director of Nuclear, the Quality Assurance Manager will implement and manage the quality assurance program to the requirements ASME Section III and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, including current NQA-1 requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Maintain RER QA manual, documents, procedures, and train organizational members as a requirement of ASME Section III, 10CFR50 Appendix B, including NQA-1, quality assurance program.
Maintain the necessary documents and procedures for the N & NPT Certificate of Authorization approval by ASME.
Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the quality assurance staff to ensure they are meeting or exceeding the RER quality specifications and standards.
Maintain quality procedures and specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials and for in-process and finished products.
Audit quality systems, initiating corrective actions as required.
Audit/Survey nuclear suppliers (ASME Section III, 10 CFR 50 App. B and NQA-1)
Maintain and recommend inspection and quality assurance plans.
Maintain process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards.
Produce quality reports; analyze information, and address and resolve problem areas.
Develop and lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and to improve levels of quality and productivity.
Provide assistance to customers, vendors, and other departments of the company regarding quality problems or concerns.
Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in product or quality standards where warranted.
Review all complaints received from customers to determine corrective action.
Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and all quality and safety regulations.
Support sales team on an as needed basis as requested by sales manager and/or sales representatives.
Perform annual performance evaluations.
Make recommendations for the hiring, termination, and career development of employees within the department.
Work with Quality Engineering Manager to review and score suppliers relating to our Approved Suppliers List.
Complete special projects as assigned, maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Education/Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree and five to seven years of related experience; or ten to twelve years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must have experience training personnel on the nuclear quality program and procedures.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write documents, forms, manuals, reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Order processing systems and Database software. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Certificates and Licenses: Requires a valid driver's license. Must have or be willing to obtain Lead Auditor Qualification.

Other Skills and Abilities: Requires the ability to operate a wide variety of standard business machines. Experience utilizing a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a plus. Requires strong organizational and project management skills. Able to influence and direct work of individuals who do not report to this position. Strong ethics and the ability to exercise good judgment. Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance regulations, standards and guidelines (ASME Section III, 10CFR50 App. B, 10CFR21, NQA-1, etc.)
