Full Job Description

Central Bark Atlanta is a fast-paced, detail-oriented, fun, and exciting environment where dogs are at the heart of everything we do. We aim to enrich the lives of every dog that enters our care.

We are in search of a team member willing to cross-train as a dog handler and receptionist. This team member should combine a passion for animals with initiative, organization, and customer service expertise. Prior experience working with dogs is preferred but not required (love of dogs IS required, though). Join our team and be a part of a place where tails are always wagging, and there's never a dull moment!

This position starts at $13/hour while training for and in the dog handler role (which will be the first round of training), and then will increase to $14/hour once fully trained for the receptionist role.

**Dog Handler Key Responsibilities:**

Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime and activities.
Uphold enrichment programs that promote physical and mental stimulation.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for all dogs and staff.
Build strong relationships with both the team and the dogs.
Communicate effectively with team members, being able to provide and receive feedback.

**Qualifications:**

Previous experience in dog handling, daycare, or similar roles preferred but not required.
A genuine love for dogs and a desire to form a strong understanding of canine behavior.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and participate in play group for long periods of time.

**Receptionist Job Description:**

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, both in-person and over the phone. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent customer service in our lively daycare setting.

**Receptionist Responsibilities:**

Greet clients and their dogs with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally with extreme attention to detail.
Schedule grooming appointments and manage the daily schedule for grooming team.
Check dogs in and out of the facility, ensuring accurate record-keeping and invoicing.
Handle payments and invoicing efficiently and accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area, as well as cleaning the grooming room at the end of each day.
Assist with basic administrative tasks and delivery/retrieval of dogs from day care as needed. Requires the ability to leash walk dogs up to 80 pounds.
Provide information about our services and address any client questions or concerns.

**Receptionist Requirements:**

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a knack for problem-solving.
Love for dogs and a desire to work in a pet-friendly setting.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with scheduling software.
