Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the nutritional and food service operations within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in dietary management, including supervising food service teams, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and delivering exceptional nutritional care to diverse patient populations. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic dietary department, promote health and wellness through strategic food service management, and contribute to the overall quality of patient care.

Duties

Manage daily food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and presentation in accordance with clinical nutrition standards and health regulations.
Supervise and coordinate food service staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on safety, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery.
Develop and implement care plans that incorporate nutritional assessments, patient preferences, and specialized dietary needs such as tube feeding or therapeutic diets.
Ensure compliance with all applicable health codes, safety standards, and regulatory policies governing food safety management and dietary services.
Oversee inventory control, procurement processes, and budget management to optimize resource utilization while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Utilize electronic health records systems for documenting patient nutrition information, care plans, and progress notes accurately.
Conduct staff training on food safety practices, nutrition guidelines, and health coaching techniques to enhance team performance.
Monitor food production quality, manage dietary department workflows, and ensure all meals meet prescribed nutritional standards for various patient groups.

Requirements

Proven experience in assisted living facilities or healthcare settings with a focus on dietary management or clinical nutrition.
Strong knowledge of physiology related to nutrition and the impact of diet on health outcomes.
Demonstrated supervisory experience managing food service teams within a regulated environment.
Familiarity electronic health records related to nutrition care plans.
Expertise in managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing food safety management protocols aligned with health regulation policies.
Knowledge of acute care nutrition practices, diagnostic evaluation for nutritional deficiencies, and specialized diets such as tube feeding or dysphagia management.
Excellent leadership skills combined with effective communication abilities to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and educate patients on health coaching strategies.
Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop tailored care plans that promote optimal health outcomes.
