Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team and gain hands-on experience in plumbing and construction. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop essential skills in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair within a dynamic construction environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, reliable, and interested in building a career in the plumbing trade. Prior construction or maintenance person experience is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and HVAC systems.
Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations.
Support tasks such as pipe cutting, fitting, assembly, and remodeling projects.
Help with site preparation, cleanup, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Gain experience in mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, system troubleshooting, and field service operations.
Assist with carpentry tasks as needed for remodeling or maintenance projects.

Skills

Basic understanding of construction processes and site safety practices.
Familiarity with construction plumbing, schematics, blueprints reading, and mechanical systems.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and basic welding equipment.
Knowledge of HVAC systems or maintenance person experience is advantageous.
Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning plumbing techniques and maintenance procedures.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to piping and system layouts.
Willingness to work outdoors on construction sites in various weather conditions. This position provides valuable training opportunities for individuals interested in developing a career in plumbing and construction trades while contributing to essential infrastructure projects.
