Full Job Description

Job Description : Pharmacy Technician/Intern.

We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. You will also undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly.

As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Validate and fill new and refill prescriptions accurately and quickly.

Dispense and package medications under supervision of the pharmacist.

Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine and maintain inventory level.

Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Answer patient questions and troubleshoot/resolve them promptly.

Assist patients with their drug therapy and pharmacy care issues to promote compliance.

Work as part of a team to provide support to other members of the healthcare team.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
Accurate data entry skills and Able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Strong time management and organizational skills

Willingness to be a team player and promote a positive team environment

Self-motivated and able to work independently

QUALIFICATIONS:
Contingent on passing drug test and clean background check

High school diploma preferred.

Previous pharmacy experience preferred.

Offer flexibility in work hour scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
