Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator and Plasma Table Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality sheet metal components, operating advanced plasma cutting equipment, and interpreting detailed technical drawings. Your expertise in machine operation, precision measurement, and metal fabrication will ensure the production of durable, accurate parts that meet strict quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery in a fast-paced environment committed to safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Operate plasma cutting tables and CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications.
Set up and program CNC machines, including plasma cutters, CNC lathes, milling machines, and stamping presses, ensuring optimal performance.
Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to accurately fabricate parts.
Use hand tools and forming machines to shape sheet metal parts while adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments and measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety standards are followed during machine operation and fabrication processes.
Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring all fabricated parts meet quality and safety specifications.

Requirements

Proven experience operating plasma tables, CNC laser cutters, CNC milling machines, lathes, or related fabrication equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Familiarity with machining tools such as press brakes, stamping presses, forming machines, and electrical discharge machining (EDM).
Ability to use measuring instruments for quality control purposes with precision measurement skills.
Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills necessary for fabrication calculations and measurements.
Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
Experience with welding techniques is a plus; certification is preferred but not required.
Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.
