Position Overview

We are seeking a courteous, organized, and patient-focused Medical Call Center Receptionist to join our administrative team at Ezra Medical Center. As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient communication, accurate scheduling, and a positive experience for everyone who reaches out to our center.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Communication & Support

Answer incoming calls in a professional, warm, and respectful manner.
Identify patient needs, clarify information, and provide accurate and timely solutions.
Greet patients in person or by phone with empathy and professionalism.

Scheduling & Coordination

Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently using the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including follow-up appointment scheduling.
Verify insurance eligibility, obtain necessary referrals or authorizations, and ensure information accuracy.

Administrative Operations

Collect and process co-payments and other patient fees as needed.
Enter and update patient demographic information in the EMR system.
Maintain updated knowledge of service rates and provide accurate information to patients.
Use established company policies to resolve issues promptly or escalate to management when necessary.

Team & Compliance

Meet established team performance goals, including qualitative and quantitative targets.
Continuously update knowledge of new procedures, services, and rates offered at Ezra Medical Center.
Comply fully with Ezra Medical Center’s standards of conduct, policies, and compliance program.
Report any conduct or event that may violate compliance or legal requirements, in accordance with policy.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

At least 1 year of experience in a call center, healthcare office, or customer service environment preferred.

Skills:

Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to high-quality service.
Proficiency with computers and familiarity with EMR systems is a plus.
Bilingual proficiency is an advantage, but not required.
