Full Job Description

Atlantic Tool & Die, Inc. is a leading precision manufacturer serving customers across a variety of industries. We specialize in precision metal stamping, welding, assemblies, and tube manufacturing, delivering world-class quality through advanced manufacturing processes and strict quality control standards. Our commitment to excellence has made us a trusted partner to our customers, and we're looking for talented individuals who want to grow with us.

We are currently seeking a General Accountant with manufacturing experience to join our accounting team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, preparing financial reports, and assisting with cost accounting and financial analysis for multiple company locations.

What You'll Do

Prepare and post recurring, standard, and non-standard journal entries
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
Maintain general ledger accounts and support month-end and year-end close
Assist with cost accounting and financial analysis
Prepare reports for intercompany transactions, capital expenditures, tooling, accruals, and other accounting activities
Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and asset tracking
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports
Monitor profitability through timely financial reporting and analysis
Prepare special financial reports by analyzing accounting information and trends
Complete monthly Accounts Receivable reconciliations and roll-forward schedules
Prepare and distribute monthly Scrap Sales Reports
Assist with budgeting, audits, internal controls, and financial reporting
Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Work collaboratively with departments throughout the organization

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 2 years of General Ledger accounting experience
1-3 years of professional accounting experience
Manufacturing accounting experience is preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience working with ERP systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
