Bilingual Chinese/English Office Coordinator

Job Description

JS Homecare Agency of NY, Inc. is seeking an organized and dependable Bilingual Chinese/English Office Coordinator for a full-time, on-site position.

The coordinator will provide general administrative support, including phone communication, data entry, document management, scheduling, recordkeeping, and follow-up.

Based on the candidate’s experience, strengths, and agency needs, the position may primarily support patient services, finance, intake and enrollment, or outreach and marketing. Candidates are not expected to have experience in every area. Training will be provided based on assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct incoming calls
Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, employees, vendors, and referral sources
Enter and update information in company systems and spreadsheets
Organize files and review documents for completeness and accuracy
Follow up on missing documents, applications, and outstanding items
Assist with scheduling, filing, scanning, and document preparation
Maintain accurate and confidential records
Coordinate with other departments on routine administrative matters
Perform other office duties as assigned

Assigned responsibilities may include:

Assisting with patient schedules and service updates
Updating patient, caregiver, intake, or enrollment records
Communicating with prospective patients and referral sources
Collecting and following up on enrollment documents
Assisting with bookkeeping and financial data entry
Entering invoices, payments, deposits, and other financial information
Preparing basic Excel spreadsheets and using QuickBooks
Assisting with community outreach, marketing materials, social media, and agency events

Qualifications

Fluent in Chinese and English
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and office equipment
Ability to learn new systems and follow procedures
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous administrative, healthcare, finance, intake, enrollment, outreach, or marketing experience preferred
Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care knowledge preferred
QuickBooks, Canva, or social media experience is a plus
Home care or healthcare experience is a plus

Position Details

Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: On-site, Queens & Brooklyn Locations Available
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
