Full Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Hardware Support Technician to join their team. As a Field Hardware Support Technician, you will be part of the Service Support Department supporting customer hardware needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Field Hardware Support Technician

Location: New York, NY

Pay Range: $25-$28/hour

What's the Job?

Provide hardware support and related services for HP PC Products, including laptops, desktops, RPOS, and workstations.
Configure hardware, software, and simple network components on customer sites.
Perform hardware repairs and troubleshooting for printers and other devices.
Manage critical service events and educate customers about technology solutions.
Collaborate with escalation personnel and assist in technical action plans to resolve issues efficiently.

What's Needed?

Technical or mechanical hardware repair experience.
High School diploma or equivalent; college training in hardware technology is preferred.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
Availability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including non-traditional workdays and holidays.
Onsite customer-facing experience with strong interpersonal skills.
