Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hindi Interpreter to facilitate clear and accurate communication across diverse settings. In this role, you will serve as a vital bridge between Hindi-speaking individuals and English-speaking counterparts, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder understanding or collaboration. Your expertise will support a wide range of activities, from official meetings to community engagements, promoting inclusivity and effective dialogue. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your linguistic skills in a meaningful and impactful way.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time interpretation between Hindi and English during meetings, conferences, and community events
Translate written documents, reports, and correspondence from Hindi to English and vice versa with precision
Assist in facilitating communication for individuals with limited English proficiency, including those who use American Sign Language when applicable
Support training sessions, workshops, and interviews by delivering accurate interpretation services
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure ethical standards are upheld at all times
Collaborate with team members to improve language access strategies and resources
Keep detailed records of interpreted sessions and translated materials for documentation purposes

Skills

Multilingual proficiency in Hindi and English, with excellent interpretation skills in both languages
Strong translation abilities for various types of documents and spoken communication
Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is a valuable plus for broader communication support
Exceptional communication skills to convey messages clearly and effectively across cultural contexts
