GO Summer Reading Interventionist

About the GO Project

The GO Project helps New York City public school students thrive in the earliest stages of their education through year-round academic, social-emotional, and family support.

GO Project is based in NYC and all positions for GO Summer 2026 are in-person. The location for this role is in Brooklyn.

Position Description

The GO Project is seeking exceptional reading interventionists with approximately two years of demonstrated success as an academic interventionist or educator to support students in grades K-7. GO Interventionists are educators with a proven ability to raise student achievement when students are struggling academically and use the SIPPS Model.

Qualifications

Approximately two or more years of demonstrated success as an interventionist or educator with remarkable student growth and/or achievement results
Experience implementing SIPPS is preferred, but not required
Experience implementing phonics curriculum (e.g. Fundations, Heggerty, UFLI) required
An unshakable conviction that all people can learn and grow when appropriately supported and challenged to reach their highest potential
Sense of responsibility over students’ growth and ownership over achievement results
Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative student data to inform instructional decisions
Strong commitment to professional and personal growth
Fluency using Microsoft Suite

Time Commitment

Reading Intervention is conducted Monday through Thursday between 9am and 12:00pm at GO’s Brooklyn Location at 762 President Street. Program Dates are from July 6 to August 7. In-person orientation will be 7/1 and 7/2 with virtual training dates during June to be communicated.

Compensation: $31 per hour
