Full Job Description

Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) – Mail Order Pharmacy, Louisville, KY $150,000 – $155,000 + up to 8% annual KPI bonus | 3% yearly pay rises. Monday - Friday shift pattern (40hrs a week)

(This position is based in Elizabethtown, KY, not Louisville – posted here for visibility.)

This is a Pharmacist In Charge role in a closed-door Mail Order operation — no counters, no walk-ins, no distractions. Just clean workflow, proper systems, and a team that's yours to lead.

If you're clinically sharp, operationally strong, and comfortable holding people to a high bar, keep reading.

What you'll be doing

Leading pharmacy operations and clinical services end to end — you own the workflow, the standards, and the outcomes.
Directly supervising pharmacists and technicians: performance, attendance, coaching, and accountability all sit with you.
Keeping the pharmacy fully compliant with state, federal, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy requirements, including controlled substance oversight.
Evaluating orders for appropriateness and partnering with physicians, nurses, and facility staff on therapy decisions.
Driving process improvement and reporting directly to executive leadership on quality and compliance.

You'd be joining a large privately owned Mail Order pharmacy, a founder-led operation that's grown from a handful of sites to more than a dozen full-service pharmacies in the last five years.

They serve well over a thousand healthcare facilities and hundreds of thousands of patients a year, dispensing tens of thousands of medications daily. This is real infrastructure with real systems behind it.

For you, that means proper staffing, serious technology, and clear internal progression, not a stretched team firefighting every shift. You'll have the backing to lead the way you know a pharmacy should be run.

What you'll need

Active, unrestricted Kentucky pharmacist license
5–10 years of pharmacy experience
Prior leadership or supervisory experience
Confidence to address performance and accountability directly, and set clear expectations for a team
