Job Overview

The Audiologist I provides diagnostic audiological evaluations, interventions and family/caregiver consultation and education in all settings in which audiology services are offered including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth programs. The Audiologist I is an entry level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).

Duties & Responsibilities

Provides developmentally appropriate diagnostic evaluations, intervention services, and case management activities consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in discipline area (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, audiology) and department quality assurance standards.
Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services. All interactions are non-judgmental and based on mutual respect.
Evaluates and treats children from birth to 21 years of age, across the continuum, with a variety of diagnoses, in specialized programs, on inpatient and/or outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.
Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees
- MS/MA in Audiology
Area of Study
- Not applicable
Experience
- Required: One (1) year experience providing pediatric audiology services in pediatric setting. Two years preferred.

Licenses & Certifications
- Audiology State Licensure
- Basic Life Support
Additional Requirements
- within 3 months of employment Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office

- None

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Hourly Range: $38.95 to $58.43
