Full Job Description

Overview
Good Neighbor Settlement House (Brownsville, TX) is a non-profit multi-service agency dedicated to serving men, women, and children in need through programs that provide nutritious meals, clothing, showers, housing support, and case management. Good Neighbor operates six core programs: Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry, Showers and Clothing, Laundry, Street Outreach, and Respite.

The Housing & Client Services Coordinator will lead the housing and supportive services portfolio under Good Neighbor’s Continuum of Care (CoC) Rapid Rehousing (RRH) grant while also providing leadership and guidance to the broader client services department. This role combines direct case management responsibilities with program coordination and staff supervision, ensuring the effective delivery of housing, homelessness prevention, and supportive services.

The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing case management practices, mentoring staff, and ensuring that client services and housing programs are carried out in accordance with grant and agency requirements. This position shares responsibility for program compliance with the Compliance & Grants Coordinator, working closely together to monitor activities, documentation, and reporting. In addition, the Coordinator ensures that the client services team consistently implements trauma-informed, high-quality care across housing and homeless service programs. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on case management skills who can guide both program implementation and direct service delivery.

Duties

Manage the RRH program, including intake, assessment, housing stability planning, and ongoing case management for clients.
Coordinate supportive services for RRH participants, including employment, benefits, education, and health access.
Ensure compliance with CoC requirements, HMIS data entry, reporting, and outcome tracking.
Develop and monitor individualized housing stability plans for each RRH client.
Maintain relationships with landlords, housing providers, and community partners.

Client Services Department Support

Provide overall guidance and supervision to case managers and interns working across shelter, outreach, and support programs.
Mentor staff on trauma-informed care, advocacy, crisis intervention, and client engagement.
Help maintain and update a comprehensive referral resource list for staff use.
Identify trends, needs, and gaps in services for the homeless population and communicate them to leadership.
Support grant compliance, reporting, and audits related to client services and housing programs.
Step in as needed to provide direct services or crisis response to ensure smooth program operations.

Program & Community Leadership

Represent Good Neighbor Settlement House at community meetings, CoC gatherings, and agency events.
Build strong relationships with funders, public agencies, and service providers.
Promote a culture of equity, accountability, and compassionate care within the client services team.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field required; Master’s or LCSW preferred.
2–5 years of experience in housing case management, homelessness services, or related programs.
Experience with program supervision or leadership strongly preferred.
Familiarity with CoC guidelines, RRH models, and HMIS required.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Pay: $48,000.00 per year
