Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mold Setter specializing in Injection Molding to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, adjusting, and maintaining injection molds to ensure efficient production of high-quality plastic components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with plastics injection molding, and familiarity with precision measuring instruments. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in manufacturing, machining, or plastics processing to contribute to a dynamic production environment focused on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate injection molds using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) related to molding equipment
Perform quality inspections on molded parts to ensure adherence to specifications
Adjust mold parameters and perform maintenance tasks to optimize cycle times and product quality
Handle materials and assist with materials handling processes within the warehouse or fabrication areas
Use forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed for materials movement
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements
Assist in fabrication or machining tasks such as operating press brake machines or CNC lathes when required

Qualifications

Proven experience with plastics injection molding processes and machinery
Previous experience in die setting
Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and fabrication tools
Familiarity with plastics blow molding, extrusion, and assembly processes is a plus
Ability to operate hand tools, precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers), and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Experience with quality inspection techniques and tools for ensuring product standards
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and materials handling equipment like forklifts is desirable
Warehouse experience or background in lean manufacturing principles is advantageous
Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and ability to work effectively within a team environment

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
