Full Job Description

The Housing Authority of the City of Brunswick (BHA) provides quality, affordable housing assistance programs to low-income families residing in Brunswick and Glynn County, GA, and administers the following programs: Low Income Public Housing; Capital Fund Program; Housing Choice Voucher Program; and Business Activities including privately owned apartments, and participation in joint venture and tax credit property.

BHA is accepting applications for the position of Jobs Plus Grant Case Manager. Under the oversight of the Jobs Plus Program Manager and the direct supervision of the Lead Case Manager, this position is responsible for providing comprehensive case management and service coordination to public housing residents participating in the Jobs Plus Program. The successful candidate will conduct client outreach and assessments, develop individualized service plans, coordinate referrals to supportive services and community resources, and assist residents in accessing employment, education, and workforce development opportunities. This position also plays a key role in resource development, employment-focused programming, and fostering partnerships that support residents in achieving greater economic self-sufficiency and long-term success.

Major Duties

· Assists in the implementation of Jobs Plus employment services programs to residents.

· Manages a caseload of clients; tracks client progress; completes assessments and reassessments; writes case notes; collaborates with other agency programs to improve program design.

· Completes initial and post assessments for clients in the Jobs Plus program.

· Works with residents to plan for their future economic well-being through the coordination of basic education, GED skills training, or post-secondary education; assists in the identification of barriers to success and in identifying programs and services to overcome those barriers.

· Tracks resident services through the TAAG software program.

· Researches, recommends, and coordinates resident employment and job training programs.

· Conducts outreach for clients for further education or employment.

· Maintains an effective working relationship with community agencies in order to provide services to clients.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, Sociology, or a closely related field, along with at least one (1) year of experience coordinating services with community agencies and providing family case management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. A valid Georgia driver’s license is required and must be maintained throughout employment.

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is $22.08 per hour. This is a grant-funded position and is not eligible for employee benefits.
