Full Job Description

Strategic Partners of Georgia, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This position is responsible for processing payroll for multiple business clients, ensuring payroll tax compliance, assisting with payroll-related reporting, and providing exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, able to manage multiple deadlines, and committed to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.
Prepare and file payroll tax reports and payroll-related forms.
Monitor payroll tax notices and assist with resolution of discrepancies.
Process new hire reporting and maintain employee payroll records.
Assist clients with payroll questions, employee setup, deductions, garnishments, and payroll adjustments.
Reconcile payroll-related accounts and assist with month-end reporting.
Coordinate with bookkeeping and tax departments to ensure accurate reporting.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and client information.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Document payroll procedures and maintain organized client records.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience preferred.
Experience with Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll, ADP, Paychex, or similar payroll platforms.
Strong understanding of payroll tax filings and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple client deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a CPA firm, accounting firm, or client accounting services environment.
Familiarity with bookkeeping principles and payroll-related accounting entries.
Experience managing payroll for multiple companies simultaneously.
