Located on the southeast Atlantic coast in Brunswick, midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida, the College of Coastal Georgia is an undergraduate college in the University System of Georgia with an additional outreach through the Camden Center in Kingsland, Georgia. Campus Life (Student Life/recreation & Wellness)

Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing all of the college's recreational and wellness activities. This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA).

Responsibilities

1 -
Directs the day-to-day operations of the Student Activity Center, Fitness Center, and the outdoor fitness spaces. Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates facility and intramural student workers.

2 -
Spearheads recreation and wellness programming, intramurals, and club sports.

3 -
Manages recreational and wellness program budgets, including the purchasing and inventory of equipment and supplies.

4 -
Develops and publishes recreational and wellness program policies, guidelines, and risk management of campus recreation activities, and maintains compliance with all standards and records.

5 -
Organizes trips and excursions for students.

6 -
Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.

Other Required Qualifications

Must possess a current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug testing.

Required Experience

More than three years of related experienced required.

Knowledge of sport rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Knowledge of physical education and industry standards.
Knowledge of recreation facility standards.
Knowledge of outdoor safety procedures.
Knowledge recreation facility and equipment maintenance.

Skill in accounting and budget management.
Skill in interpersonal communications.
Skill in oral and written communications.
Skill in facility management.
