We specialize in advanced materials and challenging manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control & Warehouse Manager to lead and support our manufacturing team.

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for leading Materials, Inventory personnel, Shipping, and Receiving operations to ensure accurate, system-driven control of inventory from receipt through shipment. This role drives disciplined ERP/MRP transaction execution, structured material flow processes, and standardized warehouse operations that support strong Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance.

The position focuses on improving inventory accuracy, shipment reliability, and operational efficiency by identifying root causes of inventory and shipping errors and implementing sustainable process improvements. The manager partners closely with Operations, Planning, Engineering, and Finance to maintain accurate system parameters, strengthen material flow, and ensure operational alignment.

This role also develops and leads the Materials and Shipping team by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and accountability, and reinforcing professional warehouse standards. Success requires a hands-on leader who drives disciplined execution, maintains ERP system integrity, and continuously improves inventory control processes to strengthen operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Materials, Shipping, and Receiving Operations - Provide leadership and accountability for Material Coordinators and the Shipping/Warehouse team to ensure safe, organized, and efficient warehouse operations.
Ensure Inventory Accuracy and System Integrity - Maintain disciplined ERP/MRP transaction processing and accurate inventory control from receipt through shipment, including location control and traceability.
Drive Material Flow and Inventory Control Processes - Implement and sustain structured inventory systems, bin-level location management, and standardized workflows that improve operational discipline.
Monitor and Improve Performance Through KPIs - Track and manage key metrics such as inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, inventory turns, shipment accuracy, and on-time delivery while addressing performance gaps.
Lead Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Resolution - Identify and eliminate root causes of inventory discrepancies and shipping errors while implementing sustainable process improvements that enhance efficiency and reliability.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
APICS / CPIM certification preferred or demonstrated knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management principles.
5+ years of experience in Inventory Control, Materials Management, or Warehouse Operations within a manufacturing environment.
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing inventory, shipping, receiving, or warehouse teams.
Proven experience working with ERP/MRP systems, including SAGE and ScanTech, with strong transaction discipline.
Demonstrated experience improving inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, material flow, and warehouse processes.
Experience leading inventory improvement initiatives, root cause analysis (RCCA), and process standardization.
