We are currently seeking a CNC machine operator to operate a plasma cutting table, hydraulic press brake and plate shear. This is an entry level position with the ability for advancement as part of a thriving steel fabrication and erection company.
Position Description -Desired candidate will meet or exceed the following:
Ability to accurately read and understand shop drawings, blueprints and material cut-lists
Ability to read a tape measure, caliper, angle gauge and other measuring tools
Prior experience operating a CNC plasma cutting table, press brake, plate shear or other shop equipment is desired
Ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and be able to extract part drawings for cutting on the plasma table software
Ideal applicant will be a self-starter that does not require constant supervision and works well under pressure
Attention to detail and ability to produce quality fabricated parts in a specific time frame is critical
Ability to operate a hand-held plasma cutter, oxy-fuel torch, bandsaws and other metal fabrication equipment a plus
Welding and fabrication experience with MIG, Flux core and stick a plus
Compensation & Hours:
- Pay will be determined upon experience and prior knowledge.
- Hours of operation are 7am to 4:00pm Monday thru Friday. Some Saturdays based on workload
- 40+ hours per week currently available, but can change depending on workload.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
