Job Summary: The Material Handler will be responsible for maintaining production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; receiving materials in and checking against the BOL to make sure materials are correct and within in the AISC and QMS Standards; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished products.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
· Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving materials and other items.
· Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
· Checking deliveries against the BOL and ensure they meet AISC and QMS standards.
· Inspecting forklifts daily.
· Operating and managing technical equipment.
· Helps to maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory via STRUMIS.
· Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units via STRUMIS.
· Picking and wrapping orders.
· Identifying workplace safety hazards
· Adhering to safety management, AISC and QMS standards
· Adhering to production schedules.
· Safety is the top priority while performing any part of your job.
· Able to maintain a clean and safe work area.
· Knowledge of safe use and handling of power tools.
· Help provide welders with support, tools and supplies needed to complete work.
· Assist production personnel in loading or moving heavy work pieces during work operations.
· Able to follow directions to assist in manufacturing process.
· Ability to use time and equipment efficiently to help complete projects on time.
· Other general shop duties required by the shop or structural foreman.
· Inspect all equipment daily to check for leaky cylinders, hoses, or connections.
· Palletizing, shrink wrapping, & banding product/materials.
· Verify material size, type, & cut length dimensions as needed.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
***MUST Have ability to read tape measure and general use of power tools such as drill press, grinder, saw, sanders and general hand tools. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions a must! ***
· Must be detail-oriented and able to focus on small details.
· Knowledge of safe use and handling of power tools.
· Material identification knowledge is a MUST.
· Able to follow directions and work with a sense of urgency.
· Forklift experience required.
· Excellent communication skills.

· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive motion for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs of product and material.
