E6 Audiovisual Is Hiring... We Just May Not Know Your Title Yet
Most job postings start with a title.
This one starts with a question:
Are you the kind of AV person people call when nobody else can figure it out?
E6 Audiovisual is growing fast. Really fast.
We are building one of the fastest growing commercial audiovisual companies in the country right here in Bryan and College Station, Texas, and we are looking for talented AV professionals who may be ready for a bigger opportunity.
The exact position?
That may depend on you.
Maybe you are a technical wizard who can commission systems, tune DSPs, configure AV over IP, troubleshoot control systems, understand what the network team is saying, and somehow remain calm while everyone else is staring at a blank display.
Maybe you are interested in relocating to Bryan or College Station to help lead projects, develop technicians, solve difficult technical problems, and potentially build and lead E6AV’s technical support department.
We should definitely talk.
Maybe you have a few years of commercial AV installation experience. You understand signal flow, know your way around an AV rack, can terminate cables correctly, and are ready to stop being “the new person” and start becoming one of the people everyone depends on.
We should talk to you too.
Maybe you are somewhere in between.
That is exactly the point.
We are not looking to force the right person into a predetermined job description. We are looking for talented, experienced, driven people who fit our team, take pride in their work, and want the opportunity to grow alongside a company that is moving quickly.
Depending on your experience, this opportunity could become:
- AV Field Technician
- Lead AV Technician
- AV Commissioning Specialist
- AV Technical Services Lead
- Technical Support Department Leader
- Project or Field Leadership
- Something we have not officially named yet because you may bring skills we did not know we needed
What we are looking for:
- Commercial audiovisual experience is required
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, or commissioning AV systems
- A strong understanding of signal flow and system functionality
- Pride in workmanship
- The ability to solve problems without immediately blaming the HDMI cable... although sometimes it really is the HDMI cable
- A willingness to learn new products, platforms, and technologies
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability, ownership, and a team first attitude
- Someone who wants more than just another job
Experience with platforms such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, Q-SYS, Shure, Dante, AV over IP, DSP programming, network configuration, or control systems is a major plus.
You do not have to know every manufacturer.
You do not have to have every certification.
You do need enough experience to contribute, the confidence to jump into challenges, and the humility to keep learning.
