Job description

Shift time: 06:00-14:30
Qualifications and skills required:
- Attitude and personality: Candidates must show a willingness to learn on and off the job with a desire for continual improvement of themselves and their workplace. The candidate must show good attention to detail as well as a strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Mathematics: The candidate must know how to use a scientific calculator, understand addition, subtraction, multiplication, trigonometry, and some basic algebra.
- Physical: You must be able to lift 45lbs to chest level. You must be prepared to stand during work hours.
- Problem solving: The candidate must be prepared to solve problems with the help of shop leadership. Good communication skills are necessary.
- Computer skills: A basic ability to use Windows computers or menu driven operating systems must be demonstrated.
Responsibilities:
- Planning/Scheduling: Candidates will be expected to read drawings and bills of materials to pick the proper materials needed to machine parts. This includes heavy lifting.
- Receiving: Candidate will need to inspect items that are ordered by OHI using a material specification and/or a physical inspection. Items are then added to our inventory both digitally and physically.
- Shipping/Receiving/Planning: You will be expected to follow our procedures for shipping, receiving and job planning.
- Purchasing: The candidate will help with purchasing small value items using existing systems. As well as produce and write purchase orders for larger valued items.
- Order Entry: Review and enter purchase orders for processing, checking pricing, lead times, and availability.
