Job description

You will be expected to send us a 1-2 minute video about why you are a great candidate. If you are a student you will not be able to meet our schedule and time requirements do not apply. Our facilities are climate controlled, clean, exceptionally well organized and we expect people to be treated with respect and respect others.

Shift time: 06:00-14:30

Qualifications and skills required:

Attitude and personality: Candidates must show a willingness to learn on and off the job with a desire for continual improvement of themselves and their workplace. The candidate must show good attention to detail as well as a strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Mathematics: The candidate must know how to use a scientific calculator, understand addition, subtraction, multiplication, trigonometry, and some basic algebra.
Physical: You must be able to lift 45lbs to chest level. You must be prepared to stand during work hours.
Problem solving: The candidate must be prepared to solve problems with the help of shop leadership. Good communication skills are necessary.
Computer skills: A basic ability to use Windows computers or menu driven operating systems must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities:

Planning/Scheduling: Candidates will be expected to read drawings and bills of materials to pick the proper materials needed to machine parts. This includes heavy lifting.
Receiving: Candidate will need to inspect items that are ordered by OHI using a material specification and/or a physical inspection. Items are then added to our inventory both digitally and physically.
Shipping/Receiving/Planning: You will be expected to follow our procedures for shipping, receiving and job planning.
Purchasing: The candidate will help with purchasing small value items using existing systems. As well as produce and write purchase orders for larger valued items.
Order Entry: Review and enter purchase orders for processing, checking pricing, lead times, and availability.
