Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to develop foundational skills in civil engineering projects. As an Engineer in Training (EIT) you will be responsible for assisting in the design, planning, and implementation of construction projects. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Typical job duties include but are not limited to:

Design and develop construction plans using CAD software such as Civil 3D.
Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather relevant data.
Perform calculations, analysis, and simulations to determine project feasibility.
Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and project specifications under the guidance of a P.E.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project coordination and assist in developing innovative solutions for civil engineering challenges.
Monitor construction progress and provide guidance to construction teams.
Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Utilize software such as HEC-RAS, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Assist in project scheduling, tracking milestones, and maintaining project timelines to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Assist in the planning and design of subdivisions.
Perform construction inspection to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
All other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Registered Engineer in Training with the TBPELS required.
Proficiency in CAD (Civil 3D) or other drafting software for design and drafting purposes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to write reports and generate/analyze data to produce figures and tables.
Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles including familiarity with stormwater management analysis, hydraulic pipe network analysis, site layout, earthwork grading, and other engineering disciplines needed for subdivision development.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year commensurate with experience
