Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Tax Preparer and become a vital part of helping individuals and businesses navigate the complex world of tax compliance and reporting. In this role, you will prepare accurate and thorough tax returns, provide expert guidance on tax laws, and deliver exceptional customer service to clients. Your expertise in accounting, tax software, and financial concepts will empower clients to maximize their refunds and stay compliant with current regulations. This position offers an energetic environment where your analytical skills and attention to detail will shine, supporting clients through every step of their tax journey.

Duties

Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns using advanced tax preparation software.
Review financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, receipts, and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
Conduct thorough analysis of client financial data to identify deductions, credits, and potential liabilities.
Stay current with federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions.
Assist clients with tax planning strategies for future financial growth and compliance.
Maintain organized records of all tax documents, reports, and correspondence for audit readiness.

Skills

Proven experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate tax return filing.
Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in tax preparation software preferable ProSeries
Familiarity with QuickBooks for financial data analysis.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial concepts.
Analysis skills for reviewing financial statements and identifying key deductions or discrepancies.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with strong attention to detail; 10 key typing skills are essential.
Knowledge of partnership and corporate tax expertise enhances service offerings in diverse client scenarios.
