Rocking L Ranch is looking for a dependable, hardworking Farm Hand/Ranch Assistant to join our team. Previous farm or livestock experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn, follows directions well, and takes pride in doing things correctly.
This is a hands-on position working around cattle and calves and helping with the daily upkeep of the ranch. We are looking for someone with an open and flexible schedule who is reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with daily care of cows and calves
- Feeding, watering, and monitoring livestock
- Watching for changes in animal health or behavior and reporting concerns
- Cleaning and sanitizing buckets, equipment, pens, and work areas
- Maintaining clean barns, walkways, water troughs, and animal areas
- Restocking ranch and animal-care supplies
- Weed control, mowing, and general property maintenance
- Cleaning and properly storing tools and equipment after use
- Assisting with fencing and other ranch projects
- Helping move cattle when directed
- Following sanitation and biosecurity procedures around calves
- Operating tractors, skid steers, lawn mowers, and other ranch equipment when qualified
- Assisting with basic maintenance and upkeep of tractors, lawn mowers, equipment, and tools
- Completing other daily ranch tasks and projects as needed

- Self-motivated and able to recognize what needs to be done
- Experience operating tractors, skid steers, lawn mowers, or other equipment is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge or experience maintaining tractors, lawn mowers, small engines, or ranch equipment is a plus

We're looking for someone who wants to learn, work hard, and become a dependable part of the ranch team. You do not need to know everything coming into the position — your attitude, reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
