We're looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to run the front of our Salida HQ. This is not a back-office seat. You'll be the first voice on the phone and the first face through the door for buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders on what is usually the biggest transaction of their lives.

What you'll do

Own the front of house. Answer the phones, greet walk-ins, learn the regulars by name, and figure out where a question needs to go — the goal is that people leave the conversation calmer than they came into it
Keep the office running. Mail in and out, deliveries, recordings to the courthouse, supplies stocked, vendors coordinated, the place looking like somebody cares
Handle the daily bank run. Deposits made accurately, to the right account, on time — every time
Be rigorous. This is a detail business. Recording fees, banking details, names spelled right. Precision beats speed here, and a careless day costs real money
Learn the file. You'll pick up how a transaction actually moves — order entry, plats and mylars, quit claim deeds — and start taking pieces of it off the escrow team's plate
Set the tone. Tame the chaos, keep it light in busy season, and be the person the rest of the team is glad to see

What you'll bring to the team

Organized to the point that disorganization bothers you
Genuinely good with people, including the ones who are stressed and calling for the third time today
Careful with details and comfortable double-checking your own work
Solid with everyday office software, and quick to pick up new systems — we run on Qualia and you'll learn it here
Clear, professional writing — you'll be answering emails as the face of the company
Administrative or front-desk experience preferred, but a great attitude and real attention to detail matter more

This desk has a habit of not being anyone's last stop. More than one person has started here answering phones and moved into escrow, processing, or office management. We'd rather grow our own than hire strangers, and we'll pay for the training and licensing to get you there — if that's what you want.

It's also not for everyone. It's in the office, in Salida, five days a week. Busy season is genuinely busy. We're small, so you'll get asked to do things that aren't on this list, and there's no big corporate HR department behind you — just a team that answers each other's questions. If you want to be left alone in a back office, this is the wrong seat.
