We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Winsted, MN to hire a Human Resources Business Partner. Our client is a long-standing leader in the industrial manufacturing sector, known for producing high-quality steel and metal fabrication solutions serving a wide range of industries. Job Description
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for strategically supporting a business team across multiple HR processes to promote a great employee experience. This role is focused on providing trusted advice and expert counsel in the areas of employee relations, culture, talent management, compensation, organizational design, and other projects as needed.
Key responsibilities include:

Interpreting and communicating HR policies and procedures to employees and managers, ensuring understanding and consistent application.
Providing support on employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective actions, and dispute resolution.
Assisting with the administration of HR programs such as compensation, benefits, leave of absence, performance, recognition, safety, and training.
Leading investigations of employee concerns and workplace issues, documenting findings and escalating as appropriate.
Responding to employee and manager inquiries, providing accurate information and timely guidance.
Partnering with HR team members and leaders on initiatives that support employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Assisting with change management by providing communication, resources, and guidance to leaders and employees.
Maintaining knowledge of employment laws and regulations and applying them to day-to-day practices to ensure compliance.
Participating in HR projects, process improvements, and policy development.
Supporting onboarding, employee engagement activities, and other HR initiatives that align with company values and culture.
Performing additional tasks as assigned, supporting evolving HR needs across the organization.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 1–4 years of progressive HR experience.
Minimum of 1 year in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS tools to manage employee data and processes efficiently.
Solid understanding of US federal and state employment laws, including OSHA and Workers' Compensation.
Experience supporting key HR functions such as talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization.
Strong conflict resolution and active listening skills to address employee concerns effectively.
High attention to detail and accuracy in handling HR documentation and processes.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters.
Ability to work independently under limited supervision, following standardized practices and procedures.
Flexibility and adaptability in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in routine HR matters and escalate complex issues appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications:

SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.
Commitment to creating a positive, welcoming employee environment that fosters engagement, morale, and organizational culture.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to assess situations and recommend practical solutions.
Collaborative team player with a customer service orientation and a willingness to support broader HR team initiatives.
Ability to respond with urgency and professionalism to employee and business needs.
Comfortable navigating change and supporting cultural initiatives led by the HR Director.
Ability to support the execution of HR initiatives aligned with business objectives, under guidance from the HR Director.
