Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Hair Salon Manager to lead our vibrant salon team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and foster a positive environment that promotes creativity and professionalism. Your leadership will drive salon success by managing staff, maintaining high standards of sanitation and hair care, and delivering outstanding client experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend business management with a passion for beauty and style, all while supporting your team’s growth and development.

Responsibilities

Manage daily salon operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to sanitation standards.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of stylists, barbers, estheticians, and support staff to deliver top-tier services.
Oversee client consultations to understand their needs and recommend appropriate hair care, coloring, extensions, or styling solutions.
Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
Promote retail sales through upselling hair care products, makeup, nail care items, and hair extensions.
Ensure all services comply with health regulations including sanitation protocols for tools like straight razors and other equipment.
Coordinate training sessions on new techniques such as eyelash extensions or hair threading to keep the team current with industry trends.
Handle front desk responsibilities including appointment booking, client communication, and retail transactions.
Monitor store performance using retail math principles to optimize sales targets and profitability.

Experience

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in hair styling, coloring, barbering, or cosmetology.
Prior store management or leadership experience in a salon setting is highly preferred.
Familiarity with salon software platforms such as MINDBODY or similar management tools.
Knowledge of hair care techniques including hair extensions, hair coloring (color theory), makeup application, nail care, and hair threading.
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service while managing retail sales and upselling strategies.
Strong communication skills for effective client consultations and team mentoring.
Understanding of sanitation standards specific to beauty services involving tools like straight razors or eyelash extension equipment.
