Job Overview

We are seeking a patient care oriented Optometrist to join our growing private practice healthcare team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide both routine and medical services to patients depending on your preference and comfort level.

Your expertise will help diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of ocular conditions while ensuring patients receive personalized solutions for their vision needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through expert eye health management and compassionate service.

We currently have two office locations and are looking for a doctor to pick up hours at both locations.

Days and hours are flexible to the doctors needs and availability.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough routine and medical ophthalmic patient examinations.
Diagnose and manage eye diseases and conditions to the level and scope of the doctor's comfort
Fit contact lenses and recommend appropriate corrective eyewear tailored to individual patient needs
Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive eye health strategies
Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards

Requirements

Valid optometry license or certification in the relevant jurisdiction with active practice privileges
Proficiency in using ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment, EMR/EHR systems, and medical coding practices
Excellent client communication skills
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records

Pay: $60.00 - $90.00 per hour
