Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. This dynamic role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation and menu planning to staff supervision and inventory control. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of culinary expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the driving force behind our kitchen, you will inspire your team to achieve excellence in every plate served, ensuring a seamless, safe, and innovative food service environment that delights guests and upholds the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including food production, food handling, and food service management to ensure efficiency and quality.
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and support personnel, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Oversee menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation to maintain consistency with brand standards and customer expectations.
Manage inventory control and procurement processes to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing waste; conduct regular stock audits.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes through rigorous training and monitoring.
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail in setup, presentation, and timing.
Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels during peak hours while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and provide ongoing coaching to improve productivity and culinary excellence.
Collaborate with the hospitality team to enhance overall guest experience through exceptional food quality and service standards.

Qualifications

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments; banquet experience is highly desirable.
Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting; demonstrated leadership skills are essential.
Knowledge of dietary requirements, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards within the food industry.
Experience in menu planning, food production, catering, and restaurant management; hospitality background is a plus.
Strong skills in inventory management, inventory control, cost control, and food handling procedures.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
