Who We Are:
Great Lakes Work Wear is a growing, family-owned clothing retailer for leading work wear brands like Carhartt, Timberland Pro, Red Wing Shoes, and more. We have a retail store and production facility for Screen Printing and Embroidery on work clothing.

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Associate Embroiderer to join our production team. The ideal candidate takes pride in precise, consistent work and wants to learn a skilled trade on commercial multi-head embroidery equipment. No embroidery experience required — we will train the right person. Experience with sewing, machine operation, or garment decoration is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial embroidery machines to decorate work wear, hats, and outerwear
Hoop garments accurately and consistently across a wide range of products and placements
Load designs, select thread colors, and perform machine setup for each job
Monitor runs for thread breaks, tension issues, and registration problems, and correct them
Trim, steam, and inspect finished garments to meet quality standards
Keep machines maintained: cleaning, oiling, and changing needles and bobbins
Stage and organize orders so jobs stay on schedule and nothing leaves the shop wrong
Assist in other production areas (screen printing, heat press, order prep) as needed

Skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Comfortable working with your hands and learning mechanical equipment
Ability to stay organized while managing multiple orders at different stages
Reliable, punctual, and able to work on your feet for extended periods
Experience with embroidery, sewing, or garment decoration is a plus
Familiarity with embroidery software (Wilcom or similar) is a plus and can earn higher starting pay

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
