Outside Sales Engineer – Commercial HVAC

What You'll Do

As a Outside Sales Engineer, you will own and grow your assigned territory by:

Building strong relationships with manufacturer's representatives, consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building owners, and developers.
Driving specification activity and creating demand for VTS HVAC solutions.
Conducting technical presentations, lunch-and-learn sessions, and product training.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities throughout your territory.
Managing projects from specification through quotation, award, and close.
Partnering closely with Application Engineering to deliver accurate technical solutions.
Representing VTS at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
Collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to continuously improve our products and customer experience.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
Experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical systems, engineered equipment, or technical outside sales.
Proven success in business development, account management, or territory sales.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify, develop, and close new opportunities.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
Ability to travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory.
Experience working with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, design-build firms, facility owners, or manufacturer's representatives is highly preferred.

120 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually, accrued throughout the year.
PTO becomes available for use after a 90-day introductory period.
