Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals by delivering high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for individuals of all ages and needs.

Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments through tailored approaches in memory and behavioral health settings
Assist with catheter care, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy procedures, and aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards
Support emergency situations by applying basic life support (BLS), responding to urgent care needs, and utilizing skills in acute or trauma care environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU settings
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient, outpatient, or community-based programs to deliver holistic patient service and ensure optimal health outcomes

Skills

Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and record keeping
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient safety protocols including HIPAA compliance
Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and efficiently in fast-paced environments like emergency medicine or hospital medicine units
Skilled in using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and managing complex care needs like dementia or Alzheimer's care
Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through experience in long-term care facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities
Capable of working independently or as part of a team in settings requiring acute care expertise such as ICU or Level II trauma centers
