Clinical Manager for Foster & Adoptive Children & Youth

Qualifications:

Professional counselor, or clinical social worker, or marriage and family therapist LPC, or a Certified by the Texas Education Agency as an education diagnostician, have a master’s degree in special education or human services field, and have three years of experience working with children with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Clinical Manager for Mental Health, where you will oversee comprehensive mental health and behavioral care services. This pivotal role involves managing clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality youth-centered care. You will be instrumental in fostering a supportive environment that promotes recovery, resilience, and well-being for youth across diverse backgrounds. Your expertise will drive clinical excellence while championing innovative treatment approaches to meet the complex needs of our youth.

Duties

Provide clinical oversight for our youth's needed services including therapists, case managers, and support staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
Oversee our youth clinical assessment processes, including diagnostic evaluations, intake procedures, and ongoing monitoring to tailor individualized treatment plans.
Ensure the youth's treatment team is utilizing our agency evidence-based modalities.
Manage crisis intervention efforts and crisis management protocols to ensure immediate and effective responses to urgent situations involving clients with mental health conditions or co-occurring disorders.
Facilitate case management activities, including treatment planning, progress documentation in passport, records management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Add clinical advice during team meetings if needed, foster professional development, social work practices, and specialized care for neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
Collaborate with families, schools, community agencies, and healthcare providers to support holistic client care and promote positive outcomes in diverse settings such as home, school, or community environments.

Experience

Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and substance use disorders.
Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and trauma-informed care including PTSD care.
Strong background in behavioral health services such as behavior management strategies, social work principles, addiction counseling, and special education approaches.
Supervisory experience leading clinical teams within mental health or behavioral health settings; ability to mentor staff effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Skilled in managing electronic records, medical documentation accuracy, data collection for research or quality improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds while providing culturally competent care; experience working within hospital or outpatient settings is preferred.
