Full Job Description

Heglar Creek Homes is seeking a motivated and experienced Home Building Manager to help oversee and coordinate our home building company. This position plays a key leadership role in making sure each area of the business is working together effectively, from locating and evaluating building lots to coordinating with designers, selections, sales, project managers, and leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the residential construction and home building process, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to help drive projects and teams forward. This person must be comfortable working across multiple departments and keeping the big picture in focus while also helping manage the details that lead to successful home builds.

Key Responsibilities

Help identify, evaluate, and locate potential lots and land opportunities for future home builds.
Work closely with designers, selections staff, sales team members, project managers, subcontractors, and company leadership.
Help oversee the full home building operation from planning and lot acquisition through construction, sales, and completion.
Coordinate communication between departments to ensure projects move forward efficiently.
Monitor timelines, priorities, and business needs across active and upcoming home building projects.
Support sales and customer experience efforts by helping ensure a smooth process from initial interest through final completion.
Assist with planning, budgeting, scheduling, and operational improvements.
Help create and improve systems, processes, and accountability within the business.
Provide leadership and problem-solving support to team members throughout the home building process.
Ensure company standards, expectations, and core values are represented in daily operations.

Qualifications

Knowledge and experience in residential construction, home building, general contracting, real estate development, or a related field preferred.
Strong understanding of the overall home building process, including lot selection, design, selections, sales, construction, and project management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well with multiple departments and personalities.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing people, projects, schedules, or business operations preferred.
Ability to hold others accountable while maintaining a positive and team-focused approach.
Comfortable working with builders, designers, sales staff, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities.
