Full Job Description

CNC Machinist

Are you a skilled machinist looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to join our team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, programming, and the ability to work with various materials. The Manual Machinist will play a vital role in ensuring product quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Startup and shut down machines as recommended by maintenance
Programming, setting up, and operating OKUMA CNC Machine Centers.
Operate both overhead and jib style cranes.
Operating fork trucks and other power equipment.
Ability to operate all machines in a safe and productive manner.
Inspection of finished parts using precision measuring tools (ex. Calipers, micrometers,)
Performing required preventative maintenance.
Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve production efficiency.
All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

2-year CNC machinist degree or proven experience as a Machinist or previous work experience as a machinist.
Set-up and operate one of the following machines: (Okuma Mill/Okuma VTM)
Read and interpret prints without supervision and/or direction.
Experience with Master Cam program.
Experience with SolidWorks program.
Familiarity with various machining techniques and power tools.
Read and interpret prints without supervision and/or direction.
Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
