Are you a quality-driven leader with a passion for food safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all quality assurance and food safety initiatives within a growing manufacturing facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining audit readiness, and fostering a culture where safety and quality are always top priorities. Quality Manager Job Details:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: Competitive; based on experience
Location: Mebane, NC, company open to relocation for candidates, if needed

Quality Manager Job Description:

Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions within the facility.
Serve as the primary expert and point of contact for internal and external audits, including FDA, BRC, Kosher, GFCO, and other regulatory audits.
Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Drive plant performance related to quality and hygiene KPIs.
Ensure compliance with GMP, FSMA, FDA, and food safety regulations.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Promote a strong culture of food safety and quality throughout the organization.
Ensure the facility maintains exceptional hygiene standards and audit readiness.
Oversee product testing, laboratory analysis, and quality verification processes.
Investigate customer complaints, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other departments to support quality objectives.
Create and deliver training materials related to food safety, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Manage the facility's pest control program.
Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required.

Quality Manager Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field required.
Master's degree preferred.
Bachelor's degree holders should possess a minimum of 8 years of applicable quality experience.
3–5 years of leadership experience managing quality teams in a manufacturing environment.
Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred; FMCG or CPG experience will also be considered.
Strong understanding of FSMA, FDA, GMP, and GFSI certification requirements.
Experience with IFS standards is a plus.
Knowledge of laboratory testing and quality systems management.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
Conversational Spanish is a plus but not required.
Must be comfortable working onsite and participating in an on-call rotation.
