Full Job Description

Title: Formlation Technician

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI

Contract Length: 6-month contract with strong potential for conversion to a permanent

position, potentially before the 6-month mark

Pay Rate:

Night Shift: $26/hour

Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 schedule following completion of training

Position Overview

We are seeking Parenteral (PAR) Preparation/Formulation Technicians to support

pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This position plays an

important role in bringing the manufacturing area into service and supporting the reliable

production and supply of medicines to patients.

Depending on the assigned area, technicians may support formulation, aseptic isolator barrier filling, equipment preparation, and other parenteral manufacturing activities. Team members will receive training to develop expertise within their assigned manufacturing area and will eventually be expected to serve as knowledgeable resources who can support and educate other team members on proper processes and equipment operation.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to safety, quality, compliance, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This position requires the ability to follow detailed procedures, accurately document manufacturing activities, troubleshoot operational issues, and work effectively in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and capacity requirements while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
Perform activities associated with parenteral preparation and formulation operations based on assigned manufacturing area.
Support formulation, equipment preparation, aseptic isolator barrier filling, and related manufacturing processes as required.
Operate manufacturing processes and equipment in accordance with established procedures and training.
Monitor manufacturing activities and help identify, troubleshoot, and triage operational challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and maintain reliable production.
Complete required manufacturing and execution documentation accurately and on time.
Utilize systems and documentation including Electronic Batch Records (EBR), SAP transactions, and cleaning logs. Follow applicable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and site policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment.
Follow appropriate cleanroom gowning and PPE requirements.
Demonstrate safe work practices and actively support site Health, Safety &

Environment (HSE) goals.

Participate in training and ongoing professional development to build technical expertise within the assigned manufacturing area.
Develop into a subject matter expert within the assigned area and assist with training and educating team members on proper facility and equipment operation.
Support departmental goals and continuous improvement initiatives focused on:

o Improving safety performance

o Reducing deviations

o Increasing productivity

o Maintaining training compliance

o Improving overall manufacturing performance

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and work within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and appropriately triage operational challenges.
Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Experience with, completion of training in, or an understanding of any of the following is

preferred:

Pharmaceutical manufacturing or operations
Parenteral manufacturing
Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Aseptic filling operations
Formulation processes
Single-use assemblies
Isolator technology
Automated, semi-automated, and/or manual inspection processes
Pharmaceutical, medical device, or food processing environments
Highly automated manufacturing equipment, including inspection, packaging, filling, or

assembly equipment Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Electronic Batch Records (EBR)
Electronic batch release processes
SAP
Continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean or Six Sigma
STEM-related degrees, certifications, or technical training
Leadership, training, or mentoring experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position operates within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in controlled areas and following strict gowning, safety, and cleanliness requirements.

Technicians must be able to:

Work and gown within a Grade C / ISO 8 cleanroom environment.
Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.
Follow all cleanroom gowning and hygiene procedures.
Work overtime as required based on manufacturing needs.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule once fully trained.

The 2-2-3 schedule is a rotating schedule designed around 12-hour shifts. Employees generally:

Work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days
The following week, have 2 days off, work 2 days, and have 3 days off
This rotation typically provides employees with every other weekend off.

Night Shift Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Compensation & Contract Details

Night Shift: $26/hour

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
