Full Job Description

Position Summary

This role is paramount to the safety, efficiency, and quality of our food manufacturing operations. All Production Operators are required to adhere to the core responsibilities outlined in Section 1. Specific technical mastery and operational scope are defined by the assigned tier in Section 2, reflecting a clear career progression path and correlating directly with the compensation table.

Core Responsibilities & Universal Requirements (All Tiers)

The following duties and requirements represent the baseline expectation for all Production Operators (Tiers 1 through 4) across the facility.

Safety, Quality, and Compliance

Execute all job duties in a manner that upholds the highest standards for plant safety, food safety, quality, and environmental practices.
Ensure that assigned equipment is consistently maintained in good, safe operating condition.
Strictly adhere to all established safety procedures and company policies, including mandatory compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Promptly identify and report any unsafe operations or equipment malfunctions to the shift supervisor.
Engage constructively and professionally with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to ensure all manufacturing activities comply with the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practices (21 CFR Part 117)

Operational Excellence and Documentation

Operate production equipment safely and effectively to meet processing targets.
Accurately record production data, equipment settings, deviations, and incidents in designated logs or digital systems; manually transfer data as required.
Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas in strict accordance with established food safety protocols.
Be flexible in accepting temporary assignments to operate different machines or assist in other departments based on dynamic operational requirements.
Report all complex or unusual issues directly to the supervisor for resolution.

Note: While an operator will be assigned to one specific machine, they may be scheduled to work in different areas of the facility based on their experience, current skillset, and operational needs.

Foundational Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Core Skills: Demonstrated accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, English language proficiency, reliability, sound judgment, and fundamental math skills.
Availability: Weekend support is requested on a voluntary basis during periods of high production demand.

Physical Demands:

Must be capable of standing for continuous periods (8 hours).
Must perform necessary math calculations.
Ability to push and pull heavy wheeled equipment.
Extended use of hands for manipulating ingredients or machine parts.

Pay: $17.75 per hour
