About Monet Interior
Monet Interior is a growing custom cabinetry, closet, and interior remodeling company serving high-end residential clients throughout the greater Austin area. We specialize in custom storage systems, cabinetry, closets, built-ins, luxury finishes, and detailed installation work.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking workshop contractor who can become a trusted right hand in the shop. This role is ideal for someone with some hands-on construction, cabinetry, woodworking, warehouse, or installation experience who wants to grow into a more skilled position over time.
Position Overview
The Workshop Assistant will help with day-to-day shop operations, material handling, cabinet and closet preparation, organization, loading, assembly support, and general production tasks. This is a hands-on role with a good amount of manual labor.
The right person does not need to know everything on day one. We are willing to train the right candidate. However, they must be dependable, teachable, physically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving shop environment.
There is potential for this role to grow into installation work for the right person.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with cabinet, closet, and storage system preparation
- Loading and unloading materials, parts, panels, hardware, and tools
- Organizing shop inventory, hardware, supplies, and project materials
- Helping prepare job carts and materials for upcoming installations
- Reading basic project notes, labels, measurements, and part lists
- Assembling cabinet or closet components under direction
- Sanding, cleaning, labeling, sorting, and staging materials
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop
- Assisting with tool setup, basic shop tasks, and production support
- Picking up or delivering materials as needed
- Supporting installers or shop leads when additional help is needed
- Following instructions carefully and asking questions when something is unclear
- Taking photos, documenting work, and helping track project readiness when needed

- Has basic tool knowledge or is willing to learn
- Pays attention to detail
- Shows up on time and communicates clearly
- Can work independently once given clear direction
- Takes pride in clean, organized work
