Full Job Description

About the Role

Iron Herd Group is seeking a creative, highly motivated Content Creator to bring our brands and experiences to life through original photography, videography, and social media content.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of original work and a natural eye for storytelling, composition, and authentic outdoor and lifestyle imagery. You should be comfortable operating professional camera equipment, working independently in the field, and taking a project from concept through final delivery.

This is not a desk-bound social media role. One day, you may be in the office collaborating with stakeholders and planning campaigns; the next, you could be on a ranch capturing original photos and video in places few people ever have access to. You'll have the opportunity to create content around exotic wildlife, premium hunting experiences, ranch life, animal nutrition, and other distinctive aspects of our businesses.

You will support Iron Herd Group, an umbrella organization encompassing a diverse and unconventional portfolio of companies across exotic wildlife management, hunting and exclusive experiences, animal nutrition and feed, land development, and healthcare. Across all ventures, Iron Herd values innovation, fortitude, strategic thinking, and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

· Concept, plan, capture, and edit original photography and video for social media and other marketing channels.

· Create compelling short-form video and photo content featuring:

o Exotic animals and breeding programs

o High-end hunting experiences and daily ranch life

o Nutrition programs and herd health initiatives

· Develop engaging hooks, captions, calls to action, and other creative elements that encourage engagement and drive action.

· Use AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance content creation and improve efficiency.

· Maintain a consistent visual style and ensure all content reflects Iron Herd's brand voice, quality, and positioning.

· Manage projects from initial concept through final editing and delivery.

Social Media & Publishing

· Develop and maintain a strategic social media content calendar.

· Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

· Optimize content formats, posting schedules, hashtags, and other variables based on platform performance and audience insights.

· Stay current with social media trends and identify opportunities to increase reach, engagement, and brand awareness.

Community Management

· Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a professional, timely, and on-brand manner.

· Engage with followers, prospective clients, and business partners to build relationships and credibility.

· Identify, qualify, and flag high-value inquiries and potential leads for internal follow-up.

Analytics & Research

· Monitor content performance and use analytics to refine creative strategy and improve reach and engagement.

· Research industry trends, competitors, hashtags, emerging platforms, and new content formats.

· Test, measure, and iterate on new creative approaches, AI tools, and content strategies.

Additional Marketing Responsibilities

· Coordinate and manage third-party marketing vendors, including website developers.

· Assist with trade show registration, design, and setup.

· Support graphic design and other marketing initiatives as needed.

· Use data and audience feedback to improve content performance continually.

· Become a trusted creative resource for the company's brands and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

· A strong portfolio demonstrating original photography and videography work. Social media, commercial, outdoor, lifestyle, or similar work is preferred.

· Proven ability to create and manage social media content for a brand, business, or personal brand.

· Ability to operate professional photography and video equipment, including cameras, drones, gimbals, lighting, and audio equipment.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:

o Premiere Pro for professional video editing

o Lightroom for photo editing and color correction

o Working knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects, and Media Encoder

· Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and short-form video.

· Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.

· Willingness to travel to other ranches for content shoots and events.

· Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects from concept through completion.

· Comfortable working in a startup environment with evolving priorities and a willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities.

Preferred

· Experience with luxury brands, outdoor lifestyle, hunting, agriculture, ranching, or related industries.

· Working knowledge of WordPress, Elementor, Astra, and basic web design principles.

· Experience using AI tools for content creation, editing, or workflow optimization.

· Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, public relations, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
