Description

The Branch Sales Manager is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth, developing high-performing sales professionals, and contributing to the overall success of the branch. As a key member of the Branch Leadership Team, this role oversees sales performance, coaching, forecasting, planning, and community engagement while ensuring exceptional client experiences.

The Branch Sales Manager partners closely with branch leadership to develop annual budgets, staffing plans, and growth strategies designed to increase market share and achieve business objectives. This role serves as a subject matter expert in company solutions, sales methodologies, and client relationship management, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer-centric service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the branch sales team to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
Collaborate with branch leadership to create and execute annual sales plans, budgets, and staffing strategies.
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and business performance updates to leadership.
Drive attainment of recurring revenue, professional services, and gross margin goals.
Support strategic sales opportunities and participate in team-selling efforts for complex client engagements.
Build and maintain relationships with executive-level client stakeholders and key business decision-makers.

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
Mentor and develop sales professionals through ongoing training, feedback, and career development planning.
Foster accountability by monitoring key sales activities, behaviors, and performance metrics.
Lead sales meetings and facilitate quarterly and annual goal-setting activities.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop new sales team members as business needs require.
Address performance concerns and challenging team situations professionally and promptly.

Communicate technology solutions, business value, and risk mitigation strategies to clients.
Establish clear expectations and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Resolve client concerns and inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
Act as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure successful outcomes.
Support client retention and satisfaction through proactive engagement and strategic account support.

Represent the organization in community, networking, and industry events.
Develop referral partnerships and strategic relationships within the local business ecosystem.
Participate in trade shows, association events, and business development activities.
Serve as an ambassador for the organization’s mission, values, and community involvement initiatives.

Ensure adherence to established sales processes and operational standards.
Support strategic planning, business reviews, and organizational initiatives.
Promote best practices in forecasting, pipeline management, and sales accountability.
Champion a culture focused on quality, client service, and continuous improvement.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams.
Strong performance management and accountability practices.
Excellent conflict resolution and difficult conversation management skills.
Ability to inspire collaboration and foster a positive team culture.

Advanced knowledge of consultative selling methodologies and sales forecasting.
Experience managing sales pipelines, CRM systems, and opportunity tracking.
Ability to develop strategic business plans and revenue growth initiatives.
Strong understanding of budgeting, profitability, and business performance metrics.
Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders and decision-makers.

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, networking, cloud solutions, and managed services.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SaaS platforms, infrastructure solutions, and business technology roadmaps.
Familiarity with virtualization, networking, security, and enterprise technology environments.
Working knowledge of industry frameworks such as ITIL and cybersecurity best practices.

Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused solutions for non-technical audiences.
Strong relationship-building skills with clients, team members, vendors, and community partners.
Skilled in asking strategic questions, uncovering business needs, and facilitating productive discussions.

Experience in technology sales, managed services, IT solutions, or related industries preferred.
